7 October 2009 | Warsaw, Poland

On 7th October, the Contact Point for Roma and Sinti Issues (CPRSI) will organise a Special Day on Roma and Sinti focusing on the topic: Early Education for Roma and Sinti Children.

Participants will include delegates of OSCE member states as well as representatives of international institutions, Roma organisations and other NGOs.

The session will aim to address the issue of low participation of Roma children in early education processes. Participating states will share information on the policies and initiatives implemented to address this issue, including the evaluation of these policies’ effectiveness, in order to identify examples of good practice at the national, regional and local levels. It will assess the role of all stakeholders, including of international organisations, in improving the access of Roma children to early education.
