EURoma Network will hold its next Management Committee meeting on 24-25 October in Budapest, hosted by Hungarian partners. EURoma Network partner authorities (notably National Roma Contact Points and public authorities in charge of ESF+ and ERDF) from 12 EU Member States as well as representatives of the European Commission, will have the opportunity to discuss on different aspects related to the use of EU Funds to promote Roma equality and inclusion. Other Hungarian stakeholders will also join part of the meeting.
Next EURoma Management Committee meeting will pay particular attention to the analysis of how territorial approaches can be inclusive with Roma and other disadvantaged groups. Other topics of relevance will be addressed such as the policy and financial developments of relevance for Roma equality and inclusion, the consideration of Roma children in the implementation of the Child Guarantee, the alignment between the policy and the financial frameworks and the Cohesion Policy beyond 2027.
Participants will also have the opportunity to gain a better insight on the Hungarian context, including the situation of Roma, the existing policy and financial framework related to Roma equality and inclusion as well specific experiences, notably those related to the use of a territorial approach.
EURoma Management Committee meetings, which bring together the Network partners, are one of the key instruments for mutual learning and transfer of experience on EU funds and Roma equality and inclusion among the Network partners. These regular meetings take place twice a year and provide an excellent platform for exchange, discussion and agreement on key issues.
Previous meetings were held in Rome, earlier this year, and in Madrid, in 2023.
The Budapest meeting is supported by the European Competence Center for Social Innovation.
